MDR Honored With Gold in 2017 MarCom Awards
We are very proud to announce that MDR, in partnership with PepsiCo and also Quill.com, was selected as a Gold Winner for the 2017 MarCom Awards! The MarCom award is an international competition for marketing and communication professionals. Since its inception in 2004, MarCom has evolved into one of the largest, most-respected creative competitions in the world. Each year about 6,000 print and digital entries are submitted from dozens of countries. And, we are honored to be a 2017 award recipient along with PepsiCo and Quill.com.
PepsiCo Recycle Rally, in partnership with MDR, nominated the initiative in the Corporate Social Responsibility category of the Communications/Public Relations track of the award program for its engaging and successful digital media campaign during the 2016-2017 school year. Leveraging WeAreTeachers, MDR’s online educator community with nearly 2 million Facebook followers, the campaign featured sponsored articles, free printable classroom posters, free lessons and activities to teach kids about recycling, a web portal to track each schools’ recycling progress and a contest.

Together with MDR, Quill.com nominated the initiative in the Digital Marketing category of the Marketing/Promotion Campaign track of the award program for an engaging and successful digital media campaign during the 2017 back to school season. Leveraging WeAreTeachers, the campaign featured a sponsored article, a short slide show video for social media, online engagement with the WeAreTeachers community and an accompanying bulletin board contest giving teachers the chance to win a shopping spree.
