Charlene Blohm is among the recipients of the 2018 Governor’s Trailblazer Awards for Women in Business. Charlene received a Pioneer Award for her leadership. Charlene founded CB&A in 1991, the marketing and PR agency specializes in education, special needs and workforce development markets. Moondrop Awarded Competitive Grant from the National Science Foundation to Research and Develop the Drawp English Language Learner Tool
America’s Seed Fund Provides R&D Funding for K-12 English Language Scaffolding Tool.
Moondrop Entertainment has been awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II grant for research and development (R&D) of the Drawp English Language Learner (ELL) Tool. The research investigates how using the Drawp ELL Tool with elementary school students can leverage a student’s native-language skills to help non-native speakers improve English language fluency and grade-level comprehension. Renaissance Teams Up with Teaching Channel to Deliver New Professional Learning Platform
Renaissance and Teaching Channel are releasing a newly enhanced professional learning experience on Renaissance-U, an online professional development solution from Renaissance. The companies plan to roll out the updated platform in August 2018, ahead of the 2018-2019 school year.
Lauren Thrasher, an educator at Marshall ISD in Marshall, Texas, uses Renaissance-U and Teaching Channel to facilitate professional development throughout the district. She commented about the collaboration, “I love that Teaching Channel videos are easy to access and share among the teachers I work with in my district. The on-demand feature of Renaissance-U offers this same accessibility. New Curriculum Meets Growing Demand for Foreign Language Instruction
Beginning this summer, Edgenuity is meeting the growing interest and demand for foreign language instruction by implementing live lessons for its virtual World Language courses.
