The Drug Enforcement Administration, DEA Educational Foundation, and Discovery Education Announce Winners for 2019 ‘Operation Prevention’ Video Challenge
Tennessee Teens Named Winners of People’s Choice Award and Nationwide PSA Video Challenge to Educate Youth on the Dangers of Opioid Misuse

The United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the DEA Educational Foundation, and Discovery Education, the leading provider of standards-aligned digital curriculum resources, engaging content, and professional learning for K-12 classrooms, named four first place 2019 Operation Prevention Video Challenge winners. Dalton Sherrill, Jackson Hamm, Yanely Luna, and Brian Wang of Coffee County Central High School (CCCHS) in Manchester, Tenn., will receive $10,000 for their winning public service announcement (PSA) entitled What Could’ve Been, which highlights the life-altering effects of opioid misuse. The students also received the most votes during the People’s Choice award voting period, earning them a trip for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of DEA training at the DEA’s Training Academy in Quantico, Va. Swing Education Announces the Inductees into Its Substitute Teacher Hall of Fame

As part of its celebration of National Substitute Teacher Appreciation Week, Swing Education announced the inductees into its Substitute Teacher Hall of Fame. The three educators—Valerie Aduba, Michael Packard, and Ralph Starace—were selected for their outstanding contributions to the students, teachers, and schools they serve. Eight teams of student innovators from around the world received top honors at the 2019 Conrad Challenge Innovation Summit, held April 23-26 at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
